Ladanad's (Khatin) parents separated when she was six months old and lives with her grandparents and brother. The father doesn’t provide any support. Her grandmother died in February and the grandfather needs help with Khatin’s school expenses.  She misses her grandmother as they had a very close relationship, often eating breakfast together early each morning. Khatin enjoys school and is hardworking and loves going to church.  She hopes to become a surgeon in the future.
