Yosu is from the Red Lahu tribe and he and his siblings have lived with his grandparents since birth. His parents work elsewhere and only send money back sporadically. Since the grandparents are over 60, they have very little income. The family struggles to afford basic needs, such as daily food and pocket money for the children to take to school. Yosu is an expressive and confident boy, though he can be shy and stubborn at times. In his free time, he enjoys raising chickens and pigs. His favorite school subject is Thai language, and his favorite sport is football. At home, he helps his grandparents feed the chickens. In the future, he wants to become a soldier.
