Wipaporn
's
story

Wipaporn (Nafa) is from the Red Lahu tribe. Nafa means "Squirrel". She is quiet, calm, well-behaved, and has a great memory and strong focus. She performs well academically and enjoys learning English. Her hobbies include drawing, coloring, playing chairball, and her favorite color is purple. At home, she helps her mother look after her baby brother and washes dishes. In the future, she wants to become a Thai language teacher. The family lives in severe poverty making it difficult to support their daughter's schooling. The money earned from seasonal farm labor  barely covers daily survival. Because her mother cannot afford formula milk, her baby brother is fed Ovaltine instead. Although they have a place to live, the costs of daily life and farming investments are overwhelming. Please support Nafa to help her with an opportunity for a better and brighter future.
