Decemberpaw’s family moved to Thailand from a refugee camp in 2021. Her father went to Bangkok to find a job to support his wife and his two daughters. Decemberpaw and her little sister are currently living with their mother. The villagers are kind enough to give them a small piece of land, just enough for them to build a house, but the cost of materials to build their home left them with more than 10,000 baht in debt. The family needs the scholarship for her future and to lighten the family’s burden.
