Zharick lives with her mother, grandmother, and sister. She loves to play soccer and when she grows up she wants to become a great soccer player. Her mother cleans homes to make a living. The family’s economic situation is precarious because the mother does not have a stable job. Zharick’s family life is additionally difficult because her grandmother suffers from dementia and her sister suffers from a disease called Alport syndrome, both requiring constant care.
