Philipbhai's (Philip) family is very poor as his father is a farm laborer and his mother is a housewife. HIs father grows vegetables during the rainy season and the rest of the time of year the land is barren so the financial condition of the family is very poor. Philip has one older and one younger sister. He is a bright and energetic boy and likes playing cricket and wants to be a doctor when he grows up.
